Grand Hotel

The gardens of the world's largest summer resort, the Grand Hotel, cover over 200 acres with 50 acres of formalized garden areas. Annual displays (+100,000 per year), perennial gardens, bulb displays (+30,000 per year), wild flowers (+5 acres), topiary, container gardens, roses & lilacs, woodland plantings & greenhouse displays can be found within the confines of this 108 year old resort.

Fernwood Botanic Garden and Nature Center

105 acre facility with 8 acres of landscape gardens, 50+ acre woodland nature preserve, 40 acre arboretum, 5 acre restored prairie, 3 miles of hiking trails, an art studio, visitor center, gallery with changing exhibitions and public education facilities. Located on the St Joseph River, Fernwood has water ecology programs and a variety of other water features on the grounds.
