On the shores of Lake Superior, offering towering old-growth forests and clifftop scenic vistas. This 60,000 acre park has waterfalls, backcountry campsites, more than 90 miles of hiking trails and 16 rustic cabins. Winter attractions include 42K of cross-country ski trails and 15 ski runs along a 641 foot vertical drop. The visitor center is a necessary stop to get oriented to park facilities and programs.
